I've just got back from 3 weeks over there touring the North and South Island, not a fun 27 hour flight getting there but a fantastic place to visit.

I had never heard of John Britten and his machines when we moved to NZ, and was lucky enough to see them a number of times at Baypark Raceway in Tauranga, and WOW......they were absolutely amazing.

I spoke to one of the riders and he said he would have paid to ride one of them and was really lucky to be paid to ride it....... even though it was so much hard work to keep the front wheel on the track.

I have also spent a number of "hours" looking at the one which is in the Museaum of NZ in Wellington and for DIY it is an absoulte work of art.
You Guys are Welcome Last weekend I went to Motorcycles Unleashed ! a century of competition bikes ( New Zealand) & the Britten V1000,Britten Aero-D-Zero & Aero-D-One & Pre-Cursor V1000 where all on display, also the Replica "Munro Special" built for the "Worlds Fastest Indian" where all on display as well as the Ducati Supermono that Robert Holden lost his life on @ the Isle of Man back in 1997 (think that was the year) Kiwi- built Buckley System's Grand Prix 500 & the replica of Kim Newcombe's self built racer powered by a Konig outboard motor plus about another 40 specials. Bloody awesome display in little old NZud.
