What do u guys think?

I had the dealer check my 07 after 300 miles...no valve adjustments or anything...just basic maintenance check..now they tell me after 600 miles and bring it in for $200-300 maintenance check ....i guess more thorough check up...

Is the 600 mile check up necessary ....thnks!

Why did you bring it in at 300 miles again? For a "basic maintenance check"?

I guess you did this for extra piece of mind but if not, and they charged you, it was a waste of money.

Your bike needs a service at 600 miles. The 600 mile services includes, among other things, a valve inspection. From what I understand very rarely is a valve adjustment required. This is all spelled out in your owner's manual.
