It appears to have some features that were around on the R for 07 but the body panels are different. Wrecked maybe and rebuilt?

Yep. Just as I suspected. 11k miles. Said he will trade for my 09 nightster. I thought I would try the Harley thing. Not really my style. Don't know how to sit there and not ride the bike. If you know what I mean.

front end looks standar 08+ R. don't know if they came out in 2 seater form

As Snerd says is an standar SD990 with a painted frame.

You can notice that the rear suspension spring is white and the R version has got an orange one

Same on the fork bars..the R version has got a "black" ones...no silver colour.
