Bloody eLL,, I was LUCKY to get 1500 miles out of the diablo corsas, but it may have been the diablo with is hand on the delicate pumpkin throttle.
I have been running the metzler M-3's and do like them, been in a flood of rain for 2 solid weeks, rains every fooking morning bout the time i leave for work,
I want sticky, sticky in the wet, sticky in the dry, sticky all the livelong fooking day!
I want to marry sticky and deep plunge the hecky outta becky with me sticky, ah... double post... leave the red one please.

#12I'm still on the stock Pirelli's at the moment, but thinking of changing to the new Metzeler Z6 'Interact' tyres when the time comes as I read some good things about them & had the Z6 on a previous bike & I liked them.
Have to say I don't think I make good use of the Pirelli's. I notice when they get really warm they start to peel like pukka sport tyres & grip like buggery - but what with the weather here & the backroads I ride, that is pretty rare. In my normal riding conditions the pirelli's are OK but not very good in the wet.

the U.S.A. economy is headed for a real spiral, I mean very serious consequence's will happen, fuel could very well triple, so between 12-15 per gallon,
then food will also do X2 at least, all goods and services will go through the freaking roof! what folks should do to prepare,
make sure you can operate your current lifestyle X2. soon it will cost at least 2X the cost it is now, all things are effected by oil,
it's production and distribution, so hold on tight cos inshala will be in high demand!
joe has been preparing for this for many years, I am ready for it if it does occur.
Then we may be faced with a true jihad! thus the name & my purpose here in the !st place?... this is about tyres/OIL !

#33Thanks Bodge. I've been wanting to try some Pirellis but the buggers make so many models I'm paralyzed by choice. I may try some after I wear out my Michelins. There will still be enough summer to burn up a set of Pirelli's before rainy fall!

gripy when cold or wet or esp both. we have rain here everyday for several weeks, right as i am leaving for work, torrential downpour!
they have far better grip than the D-208's or corsa III's.(in the wet), full lean has yet to be explored by one small.....
so far I am trusting them, I like the feel of a big twin on the"backward tyre spin" in the wet, predictable sliding is what I like the most.

#37Thanks Joe. I think I'll be looking to get them at the end of the year again, just they're very expensive here in SA. Cheapest are the dunlops and Michelins...
Hell, even the Dunlop GP Racers are quite cheap and I'm tempted, but track-specific tyres on the road? Do they make 180's?
