#3might have a word with my mate about welding a chromoly block underneath the head tube,my other mate could machine the block for me and drill and tap it aswell...intresting.....

#5It's 25CrMo4 steel. Right wire for welding is for example OK Tigrod 13.13. And the recommendations say that shield gas have to be pure argon.
