OK so Screw the nut all the way back to create a gap, unload the weight from the rear. Drop the forks 1/8 recessed in the trees.

yes - good base point. once fork tubes are set and the rear as you mentioned then you can start raising the rear if you feel like it , to your personal preference. pretty sensitive to ride height in the rear.

Yeah that makes sense. I may look into a larger spring, What is the next size up you think? But first I'm going to try some numbers and pull the rebound off the front. See what happens
