Please post up a rough itinerary. I am on the central coast of California ( Santa Barbara) and could and would take you on a ride through some coastal countryside. Perhaps a ride to Jalama beach for a J-Burger.
If you are driving, you can use a proper SD (mine) since you fuccked yours up and will need to be reminded once again how good they already were. I have three street legal bikes , two with passenger accommodations so if traveling with someone there is enough for more than two.
Highway 1 and 101 become one through this portion of the state so you will be heading right by me.
I welcome the opportunity to benvenuto a fellow SDer or part of a Ducatier through the part of Ca. that is outside of Hell (Los Angeles).
My wife took Italian in college so it would be nice if she could use the three words she may still remember. I speak construction spanish, which I am told is very close to italian verve.
Do tell us more.

Let me know when you are in the LA area so we can meet up for a beer. If you are looking for a family thing to do, the Ronald Reagan Library / Museum is in Simi Valley, CA. They have a short tour that includes a walkthrough of Air Force One complete with the original nuclear football, aka, the end the world button.

You guys are so spoiled. Calzone's, Zoetrope, Tiramisu are 10x better than anything up in Sac area. I haven't had a chance to try the other 100 or so italian places in north beach. We even have an Il'Forniao (not as good as SF version). But, I prefer Istrian food over all, so pasta dishes are not a big thing for me.

Have fun with the GoCars (part of the tour will take you through the Gaslamp downtown): they are grossly underpowered, so be careful on your tour!
