bigash Welcome!! correct amoundo, they feel fabulous too, silky, it is like they are shot peened then anodised,

I love the different bend in them, they are straighter than the stock metal. KTM makes them, see...

Sid-X, Welcome to the good place!

Pertaining to your comment on your powder coated wheels....joe notices that ALL of the parts, calipers, cast parts of swingarm, rear sets, ect..

the frame and Wheels, look strange, (mine is also an 07 SD).Looks as though it is weathered quickly,(strange since mine never sits in the weather)

bike is hard to detail, surfaces are porous. Makes it especially difficult to clean up and look like a nice new shiny bike could and should.

smells to be planed obsolescence?...no wonder the SDR is darned in black... I know what you are talking about with that "splotchy look" you speak of.
My wheels on my black 07 that I just picked up are gloss black and beautiful and I'm lovin the white power shock.. Some orange anodised bit will be just enough on my all black bike. I'm not a big fan of the orange paint even though I know it's faster..

Funny, my Father likes the grey
He is in his late 70's though.

I'm just waiting till I get a bit of time and figure out how to
get the front wheel off without a front stand. I'll go the "cheap" route and
paint them black.
