why didn't I buy one of these years ago?

Had my first proper run on my 990 SD today and it is quite simply the best motorcycle that I have ever ridden! The suspension is controlled yet supple, roads that tied my old Speed Triple in knots barely faze this thing. The front end can be leaned on as hard as I dare (and I'm over 100kg!) and the Brembos are superb. I had also forgotten just how fantastic a big twin is on the road, such drive and traction and I love the way you can feel every power pulse .

Its so quick, agile and blatantly a wheelie machine. I cannot wheelie, but this bike can

I think I may have found my perfect bike. Time to stock up on parts, this one is a keeper!

Enjoy mate.

After years on this bike it is, for me, unsurpassed by any other bike I've ridden. I love mine and will never sell it. It delivers on every level and any new advancements made in power and technology will be beyond my ability to exploit.

It's great to know people are still discovering that it's a hidden gem

Yeah, if you ride the right roads they are great fun bikes.

There are folk that like long straight a roads and doing silly shit on motorways, for them sports bikes are better.

There are loads of fellas that like to wobble off to the local bike meets and play top trumps with their latest and greatest HP4 / RSV4 / Panigirly. Whatever is featured in this month's Superbike magazine is best for them.

There are plenty of rich folk that spend their leisure time dressing as homosexuals and creeping around on Harleys, hanging is too good for them.

Dont get me started on the pillocks that buy an Euwank and Charlie mobile as it will be the only thing like an adventure in their boring lives. Those bike will only ever travel Long Way to and from the nearest Touratech stockist.

But for those of us who go out and ride the bikes like they should be ridden a Superduke is all you need.

Just think how much more fun it will be when you get rid of the 30kg std exhaust cans and get some popping, banging and flamethrowing going on.
