#9go for a 220, it will look fantastic...you'll just have to spread the swinger a little with a crowbar...worth the effort, a friend of mine did it and it worked great!

#11back in the late 90's, Suzuki released its TL1000S with a 190 rear tyre. i did some research, and found out running a 180 on that wheel would not deform the profile. i replaced the 190 with a 180, and it quickened the steering considerably, and made a big improvement in side-to-side transitions

#12It makes perfect scence now that i think about it.... I just ran my buddies CBR 1000rr with a 190 on the rear, cool ride. tyre looks massive

As freestyler mentioned about aprilia RSV's, I had an RSV and with an 190 it didn't turn in, with a 180 it turned circles inside and around the ones having a 190.
Bigger is not better in this case!

#21i got michellin pilot 2ct's on mine and have not done me wrong yet, road riding and weekend blasts are a treat with the dual compund, not felt any sliping as yet, but you will go through the tyres quickly if you are hard on the streets with them.
doing a track day on these in a few weeks, I would only get 1 - 2 track days out of 2ct's as phillip island circuit is where I go and is hard on the left side of the tyre and when the track temp is above 20deg it chews through them...!!
I would not buy these just for track, but for road they are perfect in my eyes.!
I got the 180 on the back and not a problem at all with it..!

#22I just put a 190 Michelin on while doing a 520 gear and chain swap. The 190 has a steeper profile then the 180 and is close to the chain but there's no evidence of the chain rubbing the tyre. I use my SDR mainly for the track where a 190 offers some advantages over the 180. If I were to use this bike daily on the street I would stay with the 180.

#23Is it notably wider than the 180? I kinda wanna switch just for the bling fat tyre factor.. cuz Im a poser.
