Will a normal seat fit an SDR? Anyone got a spare?

Simple question.
Will a standard seat fit on an SDR without switching subframe? Just want to take occasional pillion. Not worried about the aesthetics of the bike.
I know there are threads on this subject but I don't want a conversion just to offer a pillion perch. Cheap seat on eBay that ends in a couple of days. Not sure if it's worth buying.
The subframe is the same on SD/SDR, I get what you mean though, remove the plastic one piece unit and attach a duel seat to a naked rear. It still has the latch that the SD seat clicks into, its just if the undergubbins get in the way.
I have given this some thought lately too. Do you need a SD rear light or is it the same as the SDR?

those threads you found, about "conversions" ??

why would you think they were unnecessary?? They're not. If you want to put a SD seat on your SDR, you have to convert the rear.

You need to change the following;

- seat
- plastic undertray
- light, indies, numberplate assembly
- rear plastics

it's not cheap, and it's not particularly quick to do either.
Your Quote Cerec1!!!These guys are trying to make a living, marketing a good product at a reasonable price. Is it really worth all the grief of trying to make your own to save a few bucks? This has been covered before,

HaHA, WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT MATE !!!!!

I have posted on this also with pics.
All you need is a dual seat ,side covers for seat , aftermarket tail light and plate bracket!
The rest can be made at home if you have the skills.
Cant post again as the pc crowd will flame me for copying ktm design
Use the search button
Bugger, missed the one on EBay. Went for £12.50! Would have been worth an experiment. Anybody got one going cheap out there?

I have a seat you can borrow if you want to cover postage dude.

Or i can bring it to donnington on the 7th. (i may/may not be riding but i can still drop it down to you.

TBH mate i think its a non starter unless your gonna buy all the xtra bits such as undertray, seat latch, rear light etc etc

I also have rear side panels and il have a dig in my box of bits to see what else i might have (no undertray though, Graham had it for the Trackslag rebuild!)

She must really love you to get on the back of an SDR. Either that, or she is desperate for the vibes
Every girl I've taken on the on the back of my SD have loved the vibe coming up through the seat. Has worked a fooking treat on a couple of occasions. SD did all the fore play for me
If I was in your 'hood I would swap you even steven for your R kit for my SD seat / pegs.

I think others would too. Some of us have multi bikes with passenger seats.
