Had a few problems with the wires around the battery area rotting. 1 st was a large wire on the large connection block. I soldered that back. few wks later the connection to the optima charger. this has rotted through about 4 times now. few days ago the small earth wire to the battery. Yes i broke down for the 1st time these wires are rotting more than I think is normal. it seams the optima charger wire rots every 3 or 4 months. anyone else? is there a cure?
Could you slap some grease or vaseline around there to keep the water out?
there's no acid leaching out of the battery is there?

I don't know where u live, but if it's just road salt, salt air, water or other similar corrosion
try spraying the wire ends with inox.
fantastic product used very successfully in marine applications - wont wash off with water, or dry out like WD40 and CRC products.

Definitely not normal for wires to be corroding that quickly.
