I actually rode my fu©king bike today....in the dry !!!

Sheesh, enough with this crappy weather already!!

There...moan over with.....I can now rejoice in the fact that after washing my bike on Saturday it was as joyous to ride as ever. Got a stealth 40T sprocket to fit (eBay bargain) as soon as a nice weekend day comes along. Really looking forward to the blast home on dry roads too...I am desperate to let this beast loose.....it has taken all the self restraint I can muster to not slam the throttle open on slippery roads and catapult myself off just for the shear bloody hell of it!!! THIS BASTARD NEEDS TO LET OFF SOME fooking STEAM

Anyhoo....I feel better now. How you guys doing?
Shite actually !

Took my broken SD to the dealer yesterday to evaluate the damage and the more I think about it and the more I read from other threads the more pissed off I get that the reason I ended up bouncing down the road was due to KTMs crap choice of materials for the brake pads !

The annoying thing with the SD is that its an infectious ride and is great when its going but what with the 3 months off the road last year while they decided, eventually, that the wiring loom was goosed (KTM fault) and now me being thrown off because of a siezed front brake (KTM fault) , I am quickly losing my patience !!

Never mind all the old pap about the bike having 'character' if 'character' means me falling off the fookin thing, then to me , thats just plan dangerous !

joe has a temper, been fighting 3 things this week... f@*#ing people and the fact they refuse to think with thare brain, my cold feet cos it is freezing in my shop,

and getting parts for these cars is a rediculas up hill battle from hell!! and I own um and want to fix um sell um and get money!! Argh... crap and other curse words.

On the bright side,I am riding 2 days so far this week cos I am sick and tired of driving in 10f degrees weather , now it is up to 31-32f in the mornings

and highs in the 50's, I am riding so that is big relief, I am almost to work this morning with snow flake flashing on my dash...

and see all the blokes on the trash truck stopped and starring... in one of my neighborhood run throughs.

and did a big long crossed up wheelie to sit her down just in time to blitz the next curve,,, they loved it and so did joe.

so the word is... there is hope and I can do wheelies in the rain on the pumpkin.
First time out for me on Sunday in 2 months !

Nothing heroic, but at least I was out gettin a bit of freedom & it felt great.

Today was lovely - wish I could have got out again...

No way no how here. Roads have been full of snow and muck since early December. Just had a week of sub zero and single digit temps and have not been over 22f as long as I can remember, three four weeks? I'm heading to Vail and Breckenridge to snowboard for five days, so that's helping.
Jeez Shade. It must suck living in a country where it rains all the time.
Bet your lawns are nice and green though.

Having said that. If it does happen to rain while on a ride, I squeal like a girl and reduce my speed by about 90%.

Just hopeless in the wet.

Joker, if I could do em I would! Nice to know others are managing even a brief ride out in these frosty times. I managed to use mine for work again today, it was borderline but the threat of the train fare motivated me. Luckily I leave a little later for work than most so by then it had warmed from 1 degC to 4degC, which meant the frost had gone!
The roads could have been dryer but at least my sanity is intact.

I'm pretty bummed the weekend is looking wet at this point but maybe that'll change. Roll on the spring....there's gonna be a LOT of people cutting loose that first nice weekend. The run to my local biker cafe will be chocca!!! (if he's still in business after all the bikerless weekends he'll have been having lately)
Glad you managed to get a ride! It makes such a big difference, doesn't it?!

The weather forecast looks dire at the moment, but fret not... like you say, it might change at any time! Let's hope for some sunshine!
