Today I made easy and cheap wheel protectors

what we need:
4pcs skateboard wheels 50mm 10$
connecting material /bolts, nuts, spacers../ cca 6$
and your time 0$

On ebay is a lot of wheels, more colors and designs

we made on the lathe some spacers - If you have not the lathe (my friend has one in the garage), use some skate bearings or washers..

Nice one!

I really like your spacers.

We used to use skate board wheels years ago on supermotos.

I can remember a thread on the old VD supermoto forum announcing that Toys R Us had a sale on, and they had heavily discounted a skateboard that had perfect wheels for use as crash bobbins. A lot of us purchased the cheap skate board just for the wheels.

We also enjoyed a thread discussing the uses of a skate board with no wheels!

Very cool. Is the offset tensioning nut something you fabricated or a piece from bar end weights?
Is you machinist buddie going to crank out more?
