Difference btw 06 ans 07 LSL Mounting Kit

Just got a good deal on an LSL damper and top mounting kit for my duke ..But just realised it's for the 06 model and I have the 07? Had a look at the kits and they look almost the same.. anyone know what i need to get in order to fit it? Looks like I just need longer screws and 2 spacers?

Anyone done this before ?

I think the spacers used are 10mm longer on the 07 model, Bic had the same problem but i had an 07 mount on my 05 so I just swapped bolts and spacers with him

Here's the link to the thread which picks up on the same problem I had with the earlier fitting kit. Like TJ says we swapped kits but I was going to make my own. The fork mounting tube needs to be 20mm longer than the '06 one - it's a simple aluminium tube and the bolt needs to be a corresponding length as well. And the riser on the tank needs to be increased by 10mm. At least that's what I seemed to be saying in the post.

All sorted.. shuffled a few things around and it fits.. just need some longer bolts.. But it's fitted!!

Besides just needing some longer bolts... I didn't have to change anything and it all fits... The damper sits pretty crooked when you sitting on the bike, but the movement seems fine... Just wondering If i have the actualy have the 07 mounting kit... How long is the spacer on the fork assembly on the 07 model? Mine seems right, the fact that its a bit lower raises the back of the damper so it misses the tank.. win win.. and looks right?...??

I'm pretty sure that you can use the 07- kit on the 05/06 but not the other way around. It'll just sit higher.

Ah right, got ya now. Just get some longer bolts and pack out the spacer with washers. Or at least thats what I would do.

If you've got it to fit onto an '07 then it's an '07 kit. There's no way that the '06 lengths would allow you to mount it on the taller '07 tank. But it does fit with nothing level or 90 degrees to the bike. It had me a bit concerned at first but like you say - as long as the travel is free and nothing touches at lock to lock and there is no distortion on the brackets at full lock then all will be OK.
