Every time I've had to slab it to get to the good stuff, its usually at least a full weekend trip. The screen goes on before I leave, comes off when I get there, and goes back on for the trip home. Ugly...yeah, practical...for sure, only solution for an 06.....pretty much. You gotta do what you gotta do. Heres a pic from the front:

The diamond plate is a 12" by 24" aluiminem I got from Lowes. Bent it down by hand on the edge of the work bench. It just sits on the seat and the bag straps hold it in place. The rear strap needed to be criscrossed to keep it out of the exaust. Works real well, tested to 100 mph. The bit of fairing under the net I pick up at the Ohio Vintage Days. I used it as a mold for the fiberglass sheild.ImageImage
