Stock 16t?

I ordered a 16 tooth sprocket, assuming that my '08 superduke didn't have it.
When I pulled of the sprocket I noticed that my superduke came with a 16t sprocket.
I got this bike brand new from a dealer.
Any explanation for the stock 16t?
and any advice on changing or not changing this sprocket?

The 08's come stock with 16t, even if the manual says otherwise.

05/06s came with 17t

07 onwards came with 16t but they never changed the manuel!

great---same here----should be here any day.....................my bike is definitely geared too tall------so is the 15t the way to go, or is the rear sprocket the only way now? and what size?

Rear sprocket only! The 15 tooth front eventually eats into the swingarm!

Most SD street riders favour 16/40 gearing
