2011 Superduke.net / KTM owners trackday extravaganza ?

Well hopefully some of you lads here remember the last Trackday for KTM's up at Cadwell, slightly destroyed by the rain on the day sadly but all in all i think it was a cracking event with lots and lots of KTM's out there.

So, now we have a lot more Superdukes and a lot more RC8's i was thinking about the same thing again. Cadwell is the likely track due to locale and cost. I was thinking about a 2 dayer sometime in 2011.

So lads... any thoughts on this one ?

yeah I fancy a change Anglesey or Oulton Park gets my vote. Donington is cool too not been there...

Donnington is very central.

My only fear with Anglesey is that it's fooking miles away for us southern lot and its right on the Irish Sea, so basically its wet 363 days a year. I really want to to do this track but the SD 2 day'er was such a great crack this year that I'd be gutted if it rained for both days at next years and with 2 dry days a year it's a massive gamble. I realise that can happen anywhere, any time in the UK though.

If it's in the UK 'd prob vote for Donnington but will happily go with majority.

What are we looking at for a Jerez trip? FE trips there seem like at least £600. Cartagena and Almeria seem cheaper at around £450 but if Jerez is that much better then great.

Flights will be £80-110 return and then its just beer/food and petrol money. So basically looking at a grand. A lot of dosh but with a good group it could be a lot of fun as well. As Sabre points out though, there would be nothing worse than that being the agreed place and then people dropping out before the event. Needs something like a £200 deposit off people before we book it then everyone is committed unless they are happy to lose the deposit.

I'd like to do Jerez at some point so will be up for it

But can I suggest we get organised now and start collecting money asap as that way it's only £75 per month (eg) rather than a deposit and a lump sum.

I'm off to do a bit of googling see what I can work out money wise, see just how much it'll cost.

Right chap's i've had a quick think about it and i'm going to opt out of the Spain one purely on the logistic's of it all,the drop off/collection of bike,the flights out which no doubt Robin Hood International wont do the time's i want (as per Craigs trip) and the time without my bike.

Also the fact that i'm not really that interested in doing TD's abroad and 3xdays flat out on board my SDR in the baking sun with a hangover will be just too much for me. I aint no spring chicken anymore, two days at Cadwell really knackered me out + i can do a lot more with a grand here in the UK.


The UK bash i'll consider just about any track apart from Mallory.......and no i've never ridden it but drove round in my transit when supporting my mate racing and thought it was crap

Some of the KTM forum guys with SM's are requesting Mallory, due to it being a bit more SM friendly than most other places.

I'm more than happy with Mallory, pub in the paddock, loads of camping space etc... central location....
