At sunny Brands Hatch!

Here we are at brands with glorious summer sunshine, dry track and a day that goes on till 8 tonight. Doesn't get much better than this. Met Cerec, nice bloke, his titanium headers have just spilit at the flange so he 's gone off with Broken Leg to see if there's a local place to get it welded.

I,m in a jinxed garage with three other bikes, first totally binned it on first session, rear end write off, and one of the other Triumph triples just dropped a con rod on the start/ finish straight, oil smoke everywhere but not so much on the track. They're dropping like flies mmy side so might move across to the other KTM side, seems like a better Karma!

first track day this year so I,m shit and finding it hard to get in the groove. But it's coming.

Swift late afternoon/early evening beer local to Brands?

Don't know of pubs round here. Never been, always too tired! This track day runs till 8 pm though. Loads of time left in the sun. Showered before but not too bad. Took out the last remaining bike in my garage though! That's four down all around me, not superstitious but I feel like I 'm the last man standing here

Cerec has just got back after walking though lunch to a local custom bike shop who welded up his headers so he's now all back in business for the rest of the day. Bad news is that the headers are not Titanium, (didnt think they were), as he was sold them but stainless. Good news is that they were easier to weld up. We're saying that he should ring the dealer that sold them to him and ask what the deal was.

Sun is back out in force now, damp track a distant memory. Not for the guys next to me digging gravel out of their engine casings.

Not sunny anymore pissing down with rain and all the guys with vans are changing onto wets. Me, I 'm stuck with Racetecs which are shit in the wet really.

Got a good last session though, started to rain everyone went in and I got two and a half laps on Brands Indy all to myself. Always wanted to do that! Didn't care it was wet, just liked being on my own.

Got a call from Amy. Baby trouble nightmare at home. Maybe got to leave early duty calls and all that.
