Austin or bust

I just reserved a campsite at McKinney Falls for the weekend of MotoGP.
I am planning to ride there. I have never visited or rode through Texas in the region that seems most favorable, the Texas hill country. Austin seems to be suited for a man of my heart and am greatly looking forward to the whole experiance.

I have a friend who lives in Austin. He's offered me a place to crash for the MotoGP. I just have to figure out how I'm going to get there.

1517 miles from my front door. That is three, five hundred mile days to it, three days at it, and three days home.
Tuesday to The next Wednesday. I want to buy the ticket package early. I am hoping someone on here pounts me to the best viewing area as it looks like there are plenty of bleachers at many corners.
Salt Lake SBK was ne thousand miles of pleasure each way so Austin just adds two more days of camping-riding. All in good fun people, all in good fun. I will visit my favorite presidents home on the way, LBJ.

I got general admission to the races. I was a little put off by my tickets to the inaugural GP in Indianapolis. I had never been to Indy and after being there in person, I would have been happier in another area for the races.
My wife said she thought that it would be better to get a study of the place. She looked at the website that showed the F1 pics and saw many grass areas that may make for good viewing. She purchased the tickets as a birthday present for me and beggers cannot, nor should not be living in glass houses, or something to that effect.
Camping at The falls and watching from wherever I please. let the winter blow by.

We're going for an entire week and turning it into a super-vacation of sorts, all about bikes.

Thanks for that - We're doing the Kevin Schwantz school on Tuesday/Wednesday at Harris Hill, but may get there as early as the previous Friday and go do some riding.
