It's the last day of our Scottish trip,so i reckon i'll have had enough thrashing about on my SDR. Tyres will be shagged out and the bike's gonna need some TLC to bring it back to "Ready to Race" so i'm out

Let me have a think about it. What time were you thinking of setting off? I've been having to get up at 5.30 every day this week for work so I'm really tired, it might be nicer to drive up rather than ride.

But then again if youre setting off at 4 it's another early start! Let me know and we'll work something out. Thanks for the offer though.

Also just checked MetOffice, Metacheck, Weather Channel and Accuweather and they are all saying we are in for a dry day with a max chance of rain being 10%.

It is a pain in the arse but there isn't any other way of doing it. You can of course ride your bike to the briefing but tyre warmers will be on. At least it's looking dry for us though

I'll text you when I arrive Stew. Will try and save some spaces for some fellow SD'ers. Should be there for 7.15 fingers crossed.

Don't think the Normandy boys are having as much luck though Ronin texted yesterday to say its been wet and he's managed to snap his chain.

Agreed it was a great day,And good to meet with you guys. I was especially impressed with Jody's aerial technique, he could do with wearing his y fronts on the outside!!! His ass must have been 3' off the seat, but he wasn't letting go. Well saved that man!!

Yep a good dya had by all (from this forum anyway) Nice to see you all again plus some new faces!

Im aching like fook today tho, bedford is quite technical with alot of moving around on the bike etc. After a 1 lap sighting lap (cuz somebody broke down right infront of Craig - as he mentioned) id learnt precisely...........fukall
It took the following sessions up to lunch time to learn where i was going (and where i was going wrong) and apart from Bedfords annoying noise policy and the marshalls insisting we stop grouping together on track to cut the noise , its about as relaxed as a trackday gets! small groups, wide track, good vision, TONS of run off and seemed like plenty of grip - happy dayz

Jody must get the prize for `biggest balls` of the day for his near highside which i witnessed from the pit lane, although the way he landed back on the bike i expect his balls are now flat

Awesome day , great weather great track, is a bit of an arse moving the vans etc but not too bad once you're settled.

As has been said I had a HUUUUUUUUUGE slide coming onto the start finish straight which by rights should have sent me to lie in hospital next to Rossi !

My superior riding skills saved the day (either that or pure luck, my money is on the latter)

All in, a great day, Chicky managed to get her knee down in the last session.

Looking forward to Cadwell in July but if you guys can't wait until then to see my gorgeous face I'll be at Cadwell on Wednesday

Great day, marred only by being totally knackered from the off through lack of sleep and overwork the past two weeks. Concentration and energy were just not up to the level you need to ride at track speeds, there was nothing I could do. In the early afternoon I fell asleep sitting in the pits and it was only when the fast group Superdukes pulled up right next to me that I woke up from my dreams.

Nice to meet Big Ash and Twisted Jester, Jody and the others.

But great track, I will be back for another go. Strange to have no elevations 'cos of the flat landscape and this means that it's hard at first to learn the course because it all looks the same. Maybe there won't be another chance because they had a LOT of issues with noise and one guy from MSV was telling me that this was their last chance to prove to the council that bike noise was something they could keep under control. (which they clearly couldn't as this relied on bikes never getting together in groups of more than TWO!!).

Didn't notice the slide show larger option

I'm using the Snipping Tool in Win7. There is a similar tool in OSX m8. You can find it in utilities, then upload to Photobucket. A pain but better than nothing.
