ContiRaceAttack - grip and durability

Really like Racetecs...except they wear out fast

My dealer recommended claiming they had as much grip but twice the life (and he sells Metzeler as well. And Michelin). Also said I wouldn't notice much difference between the treaded version (Comp) and slicks version. So maybe go for the treaded one as will handle partly wet track better and even possible to do some road riding.

Anyone have any experince with the ContiRaceAttacks

They are good, can be pushed hard and were the control tyre for the SD battle series a few years ago
OK, thanks, will give them a try. Only had medium in stock but hopefully OK. Actually for my 690 but if OK maybe also for the SDR next time.
The Wet tyre is quite good but the CRA as used in the Superduke Battle are 2.5secs a lap slower than D211 GP Racers.
I do hope they are cheap (£150 a set max)
As dave stated, look at the lap time diffirence from the year they were on Contis then the following year on Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa - at least 2.5 seconds slower!

In reality it doesnt mean alot to us pretend racers but shows the diffirence in tyres
Well, only practise for 2 days this week end anyway and plan to take it a bit easy and focus on doing things right and build up speed gradually (that's what I'm trying to convince myself anyway ). So will buy slicks for first race and happy if the raceattacks last a bit longer for now. Hopefully also some tyre left for some supermoto and maybe a bit of road riding

Looking forward to 2 full days of track practise with the SDR and 690, forecast say above 20deg and sun Even figured out how those wire twist pliers work
