You''ll learn a track on the practice/test day beofre a race weekend. Trackdays are off the pace coz of so much traffic etc so you'll not learn that much unless you barge out first and get 2-3 clear laps in at the start of every session

I'm so skint im only doing the 3 afternoon test sessions at all the new circuits and then going right into qually and its almost enough.

I think this is a quiet day. It that not 92db drive by and 98db static or something? We'd need to pedal the bike round to get to those numbers

Snetterton is 98db, maybe even 96db drive by. I got caught out last year by this but was fine there this year. Noisy day would be better though. 27th June is the practice day with ACU group.

You'll be fine baffled up, can't remember any static testing at Donny before. Just keep your baffles in cos they do frequently black flag for noise.

if this is a quite day it's 98db ride by. there are a couple of mics on track, not sure where.
the day i did there on the sd i got black flagged 3 times, with baffles in (akros) the baffles are the wrong type (open ended) and are too loud you need a baffle that has the end plugged and the tube with holes (if that makes sense).
the open type baffle that come with akros don't do a lot, think my 1st flag was 103db. the on site mechanic had a look to see if he had a baffle to fit my cans. he didn't so took my akro ones out, and without asking if it was ok, hammered the ends closed. still got black flagged, next time was 102db.
i had a go at closing the other end of the baffle, and talked my way out of an early home time, 3rd time lucky, black flagged. i didn't find out what the last noise level was as it was near the end of the last session.

donny are getting much more strict with the noise as they're having trouble with the coucil trying to limit how much the track gets used.

I'm booked into inters. Not ridden on track much over the last couple of years and I'll be on the new bolide.
Trying to decide what to do about tyres.

Got my db killer in the post from MHP exhausts today. NOT you're common garden variety. No Sir. It's about 18" long and 2" in diameter; you have to take the silencer OFF to fit it but apparently reduces the 106 dBA of the EVO4 down to 98dBA.
All I've got to work out now is how to transport it in the van.
