ebay sniper leaves me with double

I decided it was time I bought some one piece leathers for the track. I spot some RST and Wolf leathers going. The RST have apparently only been worn twice, sliders are virgin. They are at the cheap end of RST range at only £300 new but get good reviews and the price was £100 with 3 hours left so I setup a snipe for them. The Wolf ones are spanking new, still with labels in them. Seller was given them as part of a deal on a new Suzuki according to the ad. They are nearer £600 new. With 12 hours left they are at £150 so a snipe is setup on those as well. I think I can always sell which ever pair I prefer on again if I do actually win both pairs.

I win the RST with last sec bid of £180 Happy with that but I still like the Wolf so I leave the snipe in place. Would you believe a last second bid wins those as well for £221 So now I have gone from none to 2 pairs in 12 hours

The Wolf are a really tailored fit, perhaps a tad tight across the neck and shoulders when stood up straight due to the torso being a little short in them but I guess they will stretch. In a bike position they are perfect. The Maurex armour seems to be great quality and doesn't feel like it would move anywhere in an off. There isn't a huge amount of venting in the torso and on a hot day they really could be sweltering. My Forcefield back protector fits underneath without any problems though. Over all quality seems very very good.

The RST are not quiet as tailored in the fit. The armour is Knox I believe but doesn't feel as good as the Wolf. There is more venting in the torso and they would be much cooler on a hot summers day. The quality does seem very good for a set of leathers that is only £300 new. Forcefield fits underneath without any problems with these as well.

So now I'm in a dilemma. Do I keep both sets? One for colder and one for hotter days. Does seem a tad extravagant but then they weren't that expensive I guess. Or sell one pair and throw the money at a couple of trackdays? If I do sell which ones?? Here they are. I do really like the look of the RST. If I didn't I would probably just throw them back on eBay.

First - good call on getting full suit (one piece): Ask anyone who has track crashed a 2-piece even one time ... the rash hurts more and for much longer than broken ribs, collar bones, etc.

Those are so inexpensive, what that hell, if you can swing it and will use them both - why not?

I dunno, tough call. I have 2 suits. Kind of decadent. Both perforated. What's nice about having more than one, is that while one is being repaired, you have another ready to go. And around here, repairs seem to take forever (for me, that's any period of time > than the amount of time between trackdates).

Keep the Wolf. Far better suit.

Punt the RST and spend the cash on coming to Donnington or Oulton with me at the end of the month.
