Just another example of KTM's short sightedness. Not surprised at all.
Its a shame but few companies can afford a major championship without significant sponsorship and it looks as though it fell through.
It shows to go you Red Bull cant pay for all Austrian sporting pleasures.
They had the wrong rider anyway.
I wasnt thinking that the AMA was capable of sponsering another years worth of Nascar bike racing..
The AMA,,,,,,,wait until you hear what they are gonna do to Daytona this year,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,no more "bike week" ,,,,,,not even a bike three day,,,,,,,,,,,,,let's just make it a two day event,,,,,,rubbish I say CCS and Vintage are going to Savana on the same weekend might as well race go-cart's or something instead,,,,,,,,,, this is what happens when you let "non bikers" run a bike event,,,it equels a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME

I dunno....seems to me that if you do not have money to go racing, you don't go racing. Until the cost of racing comes down to reasonable levels (to coinside with the current state of the economy) I beleive we'll be seeing other teams/mfrs without huge dollar sponsorship deals pulling the plug as well.

The AMA, FIM and FIA have their heads so far up their asses they cannot see that $5 million dollar Moto GP bikes and $20 Million dollar F1 cars are just not feasible or sustainable any longer.

They'll learn the hard way.
It wont break my heart if New England wins but I will be pickled tink if the Ravens do.

The sting of KTM not racing in AMA Superbike would be easier to take if I knew they were fielding a WSB team this year. Any word on that? I thought that was the next step in the master plan after they won IDM which they did last year.

Go Ravens, beat Darth Brady and the Emperor!!!
Once again...no money, no racey.
Conclusion: Buy more KTM street bikes? Get your friends to buy them? Get anyone to buy them?

And Buell is going to field a 2-bike team (or is it 2 teams ...) this year? Don't tell me there isn't money around ...

The catch 22 , your damned if you do and dammed if you dont.
Boutique motorcycles cost way more than the SD did. If they die on the vine we may end up with a Henderson yet. What would be a austrian Highlander, a KTM Superduke.
I can see your pissed, and it is probably due to the fact that you like your steed and want to share that with mores of the rest of the world. That is altruism sideways sort of, but kind none the less.
From Motorcycle of the year in 07 with pure excitement and all this ready to race shit to we got some exciting 125s being built in Moooombye aand Boooorme some more news about electricity being the wave of the future. KTM is celebrating the past and well into the future and havent a fuccken clue about the here and now.
