The raw footage has a nasty sound like the engine coming apart when I down shift. I had to drown it out with something. Plus there are all those spot where I miss shift that you can also hear.
I can turn pretty consistent 56's now, which shouldn't put me in last anymore. I was sliding all over the place in those morning video sessions. I switched rears and took off the camera so I could get down to business. My times then got pretty consistent.
My whole thing is to make incremental improvement. When I stop doing it, I will quit.
I was doing near those times last year but waaaaay out of control. My goal there that day was to just ride around in control and add a little speed as I could do feeling comfortable.
Racing will be a different story.
