#7Good weather all day, got a space in the garages, so could use my new shiney tyre warmers! Only about 50 people there so really small groups
7 clean sessions (NO FLAGS AT ALL!!)
Had 3 Fantastic sessions, first one chasing a 06ish fireblade after he passed me, I stayed with him but could not get back past. Second session was right after lunch an RSV (R?) follow me out the pits and we were on it form the go, I managed to stay in front for the whole session and we had a good chat about it when he came to find me in the pits afterwards, his mates had timed him at 1 minute dead and he said I must have been doing the same. I suggested I go out behind him next session but he passed, explaining I'd already passed him once this morning, and the only reason he could go as fast as he did in the last session was by following me!
I had a quick chat with the guys in the next Garage BSB superstock BMW S1000RR Curran or Corran I think the rider was called. He was doing 53-54 second laps so I was delighted when I realised I was only 10 % slower !
Lined up for the last session and there was only 3 of us! one of the others being the fireblade I'd played with earlier. Off we set and what followed was what can only be described as the most intense session I have ever had. Stayed in front for a few laps but eventually his superior horsepower got him past me, the next 10 laps or so were flat out with him getting away from me onto the start finish straight, me making most of it back around gerrads only to have him pull away again down the back straight, into Edwiners I had the back end sliding all over the place and I'd be right back on his arse as we rounded the left right corners, he'd get away again up to the hairpin but again with the back end sliding I would be right on him on his way out, close behind through the next chicane and then watch him pull away again on the straight. As I say this went on for 10 laps, we never even saw another bike. I have videoed some of the day but the go pro was playing up. It keeps switching itself off, really annoying coming in from a good session to find it's no longer on, and then having no idea how much footage I got .
But any AWESOME day vids to follow (one day and I'm not saying one day soon!)
