Can I get away with simply disconnecting my speedo and just leaving the rev counter on ? Or is it more complex than that ?

Yeah you can you will need some perspex of something to make a surround though, there was a picture of 08 coel with 06 rev counter think the thread is Sabres asking for a 07 speedo unit in wated section have a look.
Got some 3 mm perspex if you need it in fast black.
Obviously its just a big plug loom but you wont be able to see nuetral and other lights
