Can't break my self-imposed limit of "no track days before April" - ten years ago I was champing at the bit to get out on my freshly-purchased ex-Vivaldi British Superstock ZX-10R and I eagerly went to Cadwell for a Saturday event (about the 18th I think it was). It was busy, but chilly all day, never got above about 4°C and after having dozens of trips there, and hundreds of laps without incident, I crashed twice that day the first being losing the front end tipping into Charlies - minor damage that was patched up in time to re-join in the afternoon. The second one happened at the Gooseneck, full left lean, just a whiff of throttle to drive through and she spun up and lowsided - not so bad in itself, but while skidding over the grass she dug in and barrel-rolled, obligingly destroying the tank, seat and fairing, plus bending a good few other bits. I was using ReceTecs and warmers, but after leaving the paddock with hot tyres, they were stone cold after 6 laps of brisk riding, the track surface was just a huge heat sink, sucking all the heat out of them. I wasn't alone, bikes were going down like skittles all day, despite it being dry. In hindsight I'd have been better off wrecking a pair of wets rather than a set of bodywork and other sticky-out bits
I know that this date is only just before April, and with any luck you'll get away with it. At this time of year it's likely to be wet or cold, possibly both, rarely neither. fingers crossed that you have fun and keep things rubber-side down
