Party on the Island (Crashfest goes Coastal 2017?)

A bunch of us from the olden days were talking about a meet up for a track day or two in the style of the Crashfest this year but with a slight difference.



There will of course be those that cry that Crashfest can only be held in one place etc etc but here is the logic behind our plan. Anglesey on those dates is a weekend so it makes it easier for a lot of people to attend, no need to use up annual leave entitlements etc...

yes its a little bit of a ways off the beaten track but...

It has:

Garages - if it rains we can still have a party in the pits!
Power - no generators running all day and if its cold power to keep vans warm at night. (think I'm getting old!)
A Bar and Restaurant that is alleged to be open into the evening so no need to cart BBQ's around
Plenty of tarmac to park on....
A beach to sit on for folks not riding!

oh and did i mention garages - no bloody Gazeebos flying off in the wind.

It also means that the guys who are instructors are not removed from the event by having to work out of a separate area like they have to at Cadwell.

....and apparently is a real "Superduke" track.

This is not an attempt to Hijack "The Crashfest", we're already going and thought others may wish to join.

Sounds appealing. Not sure it will be quite as warm for my SDR as the current 25c plus temp we've had in Cartagena for the last 3 days.
The banter will be as entertaining as ever I would imagine.

Good choice of venue as i've always wanted to do Anglesey,i was over near Caernarfon last week and was nearly tempted to drive over and have a look. Sadley yet again i'll have to duck out as i'll be flat out on the roads all summer and i've already booked time off for a trip up the west coast of Scotland with a few SD.net members in May. Enjoy and post up plenty of pic's if ya going,i'll catch up another time.

It's a cracking circuit and perfect for the superduke. Yeah it is a trek to get to but it is worth it trust me. Where else other than Phillip Island do you get views and pics like this?? Long days in June so we can always have a beach party on Saturday evening too.

I might be up for it if it doesn't clash with family holiday. I'm in Bristol now so already half way there!

Dates work for me but I don't have an SD at the moment.

If I pick one up in time I will attend with beer and scoff for the after party
