Here's a few pics of me and the track. No knee down that weekend but I was happy enough. Best bit is that this was a busy Saturday....

Nice one Rodney!

How much did that cost then?
Well a Saturday morning practice session starting 09.00 running till 1.00pm costs 80Ringgit which is about 16 quid.... (!! yep !!) on that day it was pretty quiet with ony six riders. When its really busy there will be around twenty, sometimes thirty riders - not bad at all considering the sessions run all morning. It takes me an hour and a bit to get there from home including immigration at Woodlands causeway. I can get up, do a couple of hours on track and be back home before the missus has missed me. Weekday the track is open mornings too - its totally desserted except for the marshalls. Cool eh.

The track hosted the Motorcycle World Championship in 1998. Mick Doohan won in the 500cc class off pole from Chubby Checca and Max Biaggi. In the 250's Harada took it and Nobby Ueda the 125's. Valantino Rossi binned it early in the 250's race but set the lap record for the class before he did so.
