Marquez. WTF?!!!!!
What a monumental blunder. Maybe when he come off the pegs just before he should have pitted, thats done his head in thinking, shit I've just lost half a second on Lorenzo. I've got to make it up.

Although his pit board was out the previous lap telling him to come in next time around. Poor bastard must feel like a proper wally.
Counting is difficult for some of them
Well it's good for the championship! I think they should do a bike swap race like that once a season. Made it proper exciting.
I did not go this year and after the farce that it was I`m glad I didn`t.
Dangerous doing a flag to flag at PI with the pit lane exit where it is, Marquez or Lorenzo could have very easily been killed today, unfortunately Dornas number 1 priority is meeting their TV obligations not rider safety we should have had 2 races today. Dreadful.

I just added the spoiler alert, as some of us in the western world haven't had a chance to see the race.

All I wrote was WTF. How does that spoil anything for anyone? It was very considered and minimalistic

And I titled the thread Philip Island so people could avoid it if they chose to do so.

There's always moaners about anything isn't there.

Whatever.
Very surprised the Honda team let this happen,,,,,,,,

Yep, you started the post and kept comment to WTF....but you must be aware others will expand on the content, always do. We are GMT -8 here on the west coats of the US...lots of time for additional comments to spoil the results.

I'm popping on in the morning to view new posts first thing because I'm excited to see if there is any additional information about the new 1290.

PI in the tilte could mean anything from info about the new track surface to qualy to any number of things one would like to know before the race begins. Not sure if you are aware but Moto GP coverage in the states is shit. We get 1 hour of the race itself. The more we know going in makes for a better viewing experience for all of the serious fans here.

Seems I'm not the only one who feels this way as Crotch had the presence of mind to fix the title. I was about to thank you in my origianl post for the spoiler alert until I realised it wasn't you.

Call it moaning call it whatever the fook you want, a little common courtesy goes a long way.
Now I understand why there is so many damn warning labels on products in the states. Are you guys really that much like sheep? I thought it was just the lawyers over there that caused all the crap. . Not that people actually needed them.

As for me. .. missed the whole gp... oops. I got a bit carried away being reacquainted with my beautiful sd. I was going to watch it but was having too much fun. I cannot remember the last time I got to take her out in anger. They are true mountain pass killers. .. its fun over taking everything up the mountain (and down) .

I do feel a little bit bad though. .. One of the guys I passed decided that he would try to keep up only to bin it four corners later. He was fine according to friends coming through behind me. .. Just rashed up his red daytona 675.
I probably should have given an off topic warning too
Everybody I know that like motorsports know: Watch it live or avoid the motorcycle related media (and Facebook as well).
I stayed up until 8AM to watch all the races live to avoid all the time zone spoilers crap

In our whatsapp group chat we have the rule: no spoilers and no suggesting comments either.

If one's brain stays on track, which also happens to be the title of this thread. There is but a thread of a chance with a bit of understanding of how the world turns, that one with half a brain could figure out how to stay away from information deemed surely possible to spoil a race.
Look, to me it wasn't that big a deal, but I wanted to let everyone know who changed the title. I didn't want to just put post "Spoiler Alert" on Bic's thread without owning up to it.

Yeah they do do endurance races but they don't do 330+ into the braking zone or whatever the motogp guys do through turn 1 they also are not likely to be close enough to be fighting for position after 45+ minutes racing. Dorna could have run 2 races unfortunately they bowed to their TV masters, if you have a motogp.com subscription have a look at the helicopter shot marquez rides into him another bone headed move, bone headed move by Loris and co even letting it happen.
WTF, speed didn't even air the race...

Must admit even though I work for Honda I definitely think that Marquez was to blame for the collision. Lorenzo was going in hot but it was his line and its up to Marquez to re-join safely.

Lots of conspiracy theories that Honda and his sponsors (shoei) wanted him to take the championship in Japan... When he came in his head was low, I think he thought the black flag was for his unsafe manner out of pitlane rather than the teams error with the pit-boards.

The whole race was farcical but did make it more exciting than usual!

Didn't watch much of the post race stuff as the Mrs was getting fed up of me watching bikes all day.

May be a bit of 6 of one and half a dozen of the other as us little old English would say. Closing speed obviously has a big impact but surely Marquez saw him coming? I really hope that he doesn't get penalised further by Dorna though, half expecting it though. Sure it will help the viewing figures
More likely Lorenzo saw him and came in hot on purpose.
He's a whinger when losing, and a braggart when winning.
I like watching guys push themselves to the limit, Lorenzo will come second all season to be world champ.
Also why I never really liked watching Rossi and all his bullshit.
Marquez smiles, laughs it off and just keeps coming... I like it.

How the hell did you expect Marquez to see Lorenzo? The seagull didnt and that wasnt wearing a bash hat and doing 150mph down pitlane.

Fox Sports finally aired Moto2 and Moto3. Holyshit that Moto3 race was entertaining. Thought Miller was going to get a podium for a second there. Can't wait to see him on a faster (ie, competitive) bike!
