And the winner is: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/550/18758 ... -2014.aspx

Worth noting, is that he builds and tunes his own race bikes (must be kinda nice to have your own dyno room). Great to see that privateers can be competitive in this unique TT.

His time was about 2 seconds off Dunne's in 2013, and 12 seconds off Rhys Millen's time in 2013 - in a purpose-built car - which was the overall race record up to that point. This year's fastest car shattered Millen's record by 93 seconds (!).

As speculated last year - the real-deal road racers came out of the woodwork for the Peak this year, and we can expect more in future. If enough money evolves, it's only a matter of time before some of the Northern Ireland/England nut jobs turn up to show everyone how such things should be done.

Thought this was interesting:

Don't you hate it when that happens?

From the last article you linked, Martin's GSXR was limited to 5000 rpms due to a fuel flow issue. Bet he was pissed off.

I was at Pikes Peak this year doing the calibration work for the CBR 600 that was being run by a co worker! It was an awesome event!!! Sadly no Super Dukes were running this year but a good number of KTM Supermotos were there.

I'll make sure to post some of my videos and pictures to this thread later.
