I'm kind of just throwing this idea out there because I think it'd be a great chance for everyone in the area to meet up and ride (there are quite a bit of us)

I know kowekiller, omky, and crotchrockety are already down for this.

We can get something setup for chuckwalla, buttonwillow, or willow springs.

Would anyone be willing to start trying to plan for something like this? SDNerd? lowrance? Aphex?
Really? None of you fookers?
I would like to but I am fat and lazy, so my choice would be ButtonWillow. I looked at the distance of travel for the Chuckwalla event and said much too far. Willow Springs is about as far as I would want to travel. As far as a street ride, I'm more of a lone rider and rarely find much pleasure in being connected to another's fancy. I tried to see if there was interest in a camping-riding scene in the Kern foothills to no avail.
Ive camped at both ButtonWillow and Willow Springs. As far as Canyon Carving with the boyz, unless it was in my backyard, the possibility is slim.
Alright so we got you down for buttonwillow

I was thinking the summertime would be good, I'll have more money by then and won't be in classes. Plus it gives lots of time to prepare and set things up

ACS is pretty expensive, that's why I didn't bring it up I suppose. It's like 15 minutes from me only, though.

I guess when it happens isn't all that big of a deal, I just figured most people would want to do it then.

I do not know why, I have never been fond of Ca. Motor Speedway. Or Fontana as I refer to it. I have never put a wheel on Fontana so my judgement comes from only watching the AMA run there. There is something about a Speedway circuit with an in field that doesnt fit for me. People that drone the freeways in LA and SD are far more used to eight lanes and chaos as a daily routine, whereas I find the whole affair rather intimidating. I have done ButtonWillow in October on three occasions. All were Columbus Day. The nights are camp able and the weather was perfect. I mean Perfect. Willow Springs is fine till the wind picks up. That's 10:07 AM and pretty much gaurenteed to be in place except fourteen days a year. Nerd, maybe Bass doesnt need the time to prepare. Maybe he guessed that I would need the time to diet so I could get back into my Starbuck's themed leathers. Either way, I think that all us fuckwits should figure out how to get a drink on and half us other fuckwits a smoke on and that aint going to happen on a ride out.
PS
I have a killer campspot for me and my kid at Laguna for the SBK round. Now there an opportunity for some riding and partying fun.
Make the ride out a real ride out. I'm taking a truck so I would pile all the shit in and you could run semi naked up the Ca. coast.

Yeah I think you get the idea dribble.

This is more about everyone getting together and riding than it is just me trying to do a trackday. There are quite a bit of us in the area, after all. So lets just work something out

I have a project that has a finish date. I cannot make the April 25th event. I will do whatever event at ACS that is agreeable to the crowd after May 1st. I can appreciate that one member that lives further north does not get special privileges. ButtonWillow is close enough that I leave in the morning rather than a pre-overnight unless I'm with a mate, then we go to party. In reality ACS is probably half way between Los Alamos and San Diego. Werk out a group deal ACSDNerd.

And no one mention Hiway 33 please. Big Bear would be cool and cool in summer. I might have a free place up there.
Yeah that'd work too. A place with some fun roads nearby to hit up during

Well I already talked to Mike (omky756) and Lance (kowekiller) about it, and Mike said other Mike (crotchrockety) would be down. Now it's looking like maybe you and Nerd are down at this point. Can maybe (maybe) convince lowrance. Aphex might be down to go. Idk who else is in the area but I know there are a bit
