I've been chatting with Schnauzer about doing the track bike route. Mainly because I'm devolving an addiction for track days and if i were to throw my SD down the track I'd be totally gutted

Also because I think I could learn a lot from a smaller CC bike. I'm only a year in to riding so I know fook all really but it seems to me that the SD is a very forgiving bike to ride, in that you don't have to be in exactly the right gear/rev when exiting a corner and if you cock up a line its so forgiving of your error. A 600 would make me work harder at my riding. And I wouldn't be afraid to chuck a track bike about a bit more for the fear of lunching it.

Do a session on my 600 on Sunday. May give you an idea of which way to go.

If you are really feeling brave do a session on my 400 with its 10year old tyres made of wood,
