Found meself a 450EXCR. 2006, 1500 miles and about 70hrs. Akra can and the usual other bits. Will be collecting it on the 21st Feb then riding it as much as poss within the month's warranty I've got!!

Greenlaning and the odd enduro is what I want to do. My main problem is having to trailer it around (worried about the trailer getting pinched whilst riding!)

Cant wait to get out on it.
I'm not jealous.
cool bike. I would own one, if it was possible to find any places to drive. Every thing here in Denmark is privately owned, so you can't drive offroad without trespassing.

about the trailer, get a lock.. Image

dude welcome on board I saw her myself today and she is a beauty. Exactly the same as my 06 450 EXC Racing. Oh the lovely racing shock and forks Akra thrown in too boot

M8 if we are heading off in the same direction you can always come to me, we can lock the trailer in my garage and park the car here. Chuck everything n the van and head off. There must be some kind of lock that locks the trailer to the tow hitch though
you want to lock it to the car? why dont you use a pad lock instead of a "d" shackle for the chain that is welded to the trailor

I was thinking more for the Ginge laning trips and Cotswold ones bud. Obviously if we are just going into Essex it would make no sense.

The thing to do I think would be try and jump on board with some of the guys from the KTM Forums laning days. I tried using OS maps with marked BOATs but once you get there you often find they have been closed I'm sure we can jump on board with a few laning trips with those guys. Only need to ride them twice to remember them.

I gotta ya bud. I wasn't thinking of doing our Essex run on a EXC Would be quickest way to ruin a set of off road tyres ever! Just meant laning Essex stylee. I'll pock my head into KTM Forum as well.

Toby has a V cheap motocross track hired for this weekend if you get the bike soon enough, although I never mentioned it as I am sworn to secrecy Anyway I cant go as it is the kids rescheduled X Mas ballet show (cancelled cos of half a milimetre of snow )

Otherwise give me a call when you get it and we can wobble around and fall off together.

Wear waterproofs if you go out with Toby, his bastard mates like to overtake you in puddles so you get soaked. And dont let him lead you up Chalk Hill (which is mud anyway).

Q. (not by me) Toby, why are we going up this near vertical slippery cunting hill?

A. Well, it has had me and had you so I want to keep going up it until it gets Stupid Luke!!!!

Didnt get me as I paddled the bike up it. I looked like Motoronin in that phot Sabre took
Luke, BTD called me earlier and invited me along anyway mate so dont worry about mentioning it. I wont have a ride by then and am hoping to get out on the R anyway (if we get a miracle weather-wise).

I'll be hooking up with him soon enough tho mate, hope to see you there too. We can haul eachothers bikes out of the shit we'll get into! I already know a couple of his other mates who he rides with so it'll be nice to see them again too.

get yourself a carrier rack for the bike. it attaches to the towbar and the bike sits on it like you see with bicycles. had one on the back of a ford focus to carry around a honda crf 250, was a great job. when you get to where your going you just slip it off and throw it in the boot, takes seconds and is as secure as you'll get... cost me 150e for the rack itself... sold iit to a mate last summer...
