#3My Mrs would kill me if i got interested in Motox too! Looking good round there Dan.
Do you find riding road bikes complements the skills on a motox bike and vice versa?
My boss races Motox down here, but the tracks look shite in comparison to that track! Also he's been doing it a year and he's nowhere near as quick! ( having said that he hadn't ridden a bike for 20 years previous )
Last time I was on a motox bike I smashed my leg to bits and nearly dies of a blood clot Kinda understand why the Mrs doesn't like em.

#5Big old jump, in woods, hit tree mid air, broken tib/fib in 5 places. Bad times Dropped to very low sats on the operating table, needed ventilator for 3 days whilst lungs cleared.
Anyhow I was being a dick and I had it coming to be honest Like I said after 5 months off work, the missus would kill me!
Liking the crash vids, very well edited with the slo-mows. Your bike had an attraction to the dirt on that corner! What software do you use? My cam records in .mov format and its a bitch to find something that 'll do any fancy effects.

#7Looking good there Dan!
I've just started riding off road myself (it will be my 4th time off road on Saturday).
Started off with a KTM300exe (2000) which was too scary for a beginner like me so I've now got a Husqvarna 250 which is plenty quick for me just now.
What's that you're using there?
This is mine and Tom on his CCM:

#8Nice! Mine is an 07 KTM 450 SXF a proper race bike, it has been made road legal however Enduro riding round here is pretty crap so decided to just do what I enjoy most, ragging it round the mx tracks.
Im actually still running road legal tyres on it, changed the rear spring to stiffer one but front is too soft and need fettling really.

#12That track has changed a lot since I used to ride there back in 06-08. The jumps were huge back then, 6-10 feet tall jump faces, 80 foot tables, etc, etc. Loved that track. Looks like they've tamed it down quite a bit...
Is the track under new ownership now since 08?
Weather looks brilliant for late March. When I rode there we were lucky to see temps rise above 13 deg C.

#13Yeah, the track has moved from where it was its now next to the motorway (where squiggly bits are on map) as you come in with a race track (which I was on) and the practice track.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=doncast ... m&t=h&z=15
The old practice track had massive jumps some complained they were too big, I liked em was a fast track but quite a few injuries .
The old race track was good fun though.
Fatcats is billed as "europes largest leisure facility" and where the old tracks were they are building massive watersports lake/chealets and all that, think its still run by the same guy.
If your ever back this way on give us a holla, I have an MX bike you can use too
