Was reading Bike mag today and an interesting read on the RC4 Race bike prototype. The journo was loving it! Be interesting to see if a single pot 450cc class takes over from GP 125 or 250cc in the future

dammit I wish that thing was out, currently have a 08 CBR 600 as a track bike but would deff have picked this in a sec. Just from everything KTM has made it always fit a tall guy alittle better... I really hope that thing makes it to production but people in the states on average would never consider , which sucks... I guess I can dream

If I read correctly the kit to transform your Duke to this is about 4800 euros. details in German :

Das RC4 Kit enthält IMM Carbon Verkleidung incl. Ram-Airsystem, Tank im Rahmenheck, Fußrastenanlage, Lenker, sowie als Option den Umbau des kompletten Fahrwerks. Das gesamte Kit, kann so montiert werden, ohne ein Orginalteil zu bearbeiten.

translated:

The RC4 kit includes IMM carbon fiber bodywork including ram-air system, fuel tank mounted on the tail section, rear sets, clip ons. Also available, optionally, are complete chassis conversion (suspension). The entire kit can be mounted without modifying the original parts.

I don't believe they were imported. However new (2010) 690 Dukes can be found at dealers for about USD 7000-7500. I belive that they are similar but for pston size, the R getting closer to the 690 moniker.
