Had to be done as it's been on my mind a lot recently especially when I'm on track so I rode the SDR to the dealer and took the RC8 out.
Sitting on it the seat is much comfier, the pegs were less extreme than my blade or my vfr800 and the bars were about the same as the blade possibly a touch higher and they could stillgo an inch higher than that. On the move and I headed straight to a town centre and it's immediately obvious it fuels so much better than my SDR in fact it felt perfectly normal for a v twin. Onto a dual carriageway and cruising at 90mph is great, virtually no wind blast. Next test was wheelies and it excels here with masses of midrange , the engine doesn't have the top end kick of the SDR but it is much much stronger in the mid and it fires out of corners like no other bike I've ridden. Handling and braking are pretty much par for the course on a sportsbike. On the whole it is a less extreme bike than the SDR which when I jumped back on it felt like a rev hungry mx bike feeding it gears all the time.
In short I think it's the better bike for me so only time will tell if I swap or add it to the SDR which if I can find the funds is what I would do
