SM950 with akras - carby settings

Hi all, bought a SM950 from a friend. Its fitted with akra slip ons (db killers out) standard headers but has never had jetting or carby settings changed to suit. What is the consensus among the brains trust on the proper settings (500m above sea level – average 20degC).

It seems to be running rich evident by fuelly smell in clothing and when following along behind.

Internet talks about leaving jetting but altering needle clip position. Other info Ive been told is to alter the size of the hole and the spring in the CV to enable quicker opening of the slide (theory is the slide opens too slow = fuelling up before slide opens enought to use fuel).

Help!
Thanks in advance from Gary
