Thinking of a 690SMC

After test riding a SMC earlier this year I have constantly been thinking about getting one to sit with my SDR. It would be my fun commuter and tight road blaster, leaving my SDR for weekend fun on longer loops where I need 'some' comfort.

I asked my local dealer about them and he said he knows of a demo bike that is for sale. So when I head in for my service on Thursday I am going to esquire about the price and other particulars (hoping that being a demo it might already have a pipe). If the price seems decent then I might just have to make a trip to the bank and see what I can work out.

They are definitely amazing bikes, tons of fun, and they would be a great addition to the garage if you are keeping the SDR. I have a few friends with SMC's, and they completely love them. My goal is to get the 690 Enduro so that I can have another bike to beat around on, but also one for the trails, dirt roads, sand dunes, etc....

Like you've said, short runs, kart tracks etc it's an awsome bike.

Gah! It got sold. No more new/demo bike left in the country. So now I will take my time and scour used bikes, might even have to settle on a drz400sm, as you can pick them up brand new for next to nothing.
