Mine started to get stripped t'other day and the hacksaw came into play. Hope to have a bit of time on the weekend to do some more cutting and then welding.

That is gorgeous!
IMO the swing arm needs shortening but that's just me being picky.
Very very nice.
Ran into a couple of problems. Vinyl for headlight mask was cut from the wrong template. Sent the mask to Grant at GFX Designs and he is getting a new one made up and applied for me. All that's left to do now is dye my orange tank black this weekend. This is either going to work perfectly as it has for guys on Thumpertalk forum or it's going to go horribly wrong and i'll end up with a brown tank of a pile of melted brown plastic that used to be a tank
do you guys use your bikes or are they just pritty things to look at
it,s not a enduro inless there scratched all over
Are you worried about me looking too good when I overtake you next week buddy??

Well I dyed the tank black yesterday. Have to say I was slightly concerned that I was either going to end up with a brown tank or a melted mess that used to be a tank. Boiled it for 2 hours in a oil drum on my gas fired BBQ and hey presto its come out proper black Will post up pics later when I get some in the daylight. The monster begins to awaken
Ok here she is. Just need to add the headlight mask when it arrives back and she is finished Let the roostering commence

As you can see the tank is nice and black. The only slight concern is that i put a bit of petrol in it last night and when i poured it out today it was black

I have now filled it up to the top and will leave it a couple of days, drain it and fill with fresh. Hopefully it will be fine then.
Good job!

What's the info on the tank dying? What's the dye type? What's the process? Cooking in an oil drum over an open fire in the dark chanting voodoo shit?

Looks awesome man... When do you reckon you're going to pull the swingarm of and powdercoat it black?
Nice job Klink.

Now you need to post up the first scratch when you bin it up..

Already binned it. Crashed on day 2 of the Cambrian. Although compared to last year that is a major improvement as I spent all weekend crashing then. Didn't really do any damage though. I did however get a a smashed headlight chasing down Scotsduke on the fire trails. He kept lighting up the rear as a tactic to keep me back. I was getting peppered by rocks, one of which did my headlight, another smashed the Rip n Roll system off my goggles. I had several bruises to go with bike damage but I got him in the end Next year I', running a number board instead of the headlight unit. £70 to buy a new light
