All,

Just booked my 07 SD in for a service next week. The stealer asked how many km's, I advise 15,000. He says ok, thats a major service and has to check valve clearence.....Bloody hell..!!! $827 dollars..!!

I hope they replace all the fluids, brake and clutch in this.

Does anyone know if this is right..? What should a 15k service have..?
your obviously taking it to peter stevens?? I bought my SDR from there but marriots in leongatha will be doing the servicing on it.
there is another place.... jeffrey honda in Ferntree gully victoria. they are a KTM service centre. Will call them tomorrow, see what they say..!!

Also, wonder, seeing I have modded my SD, removed O2 sensors, 2/3 gear mod, even done my own brake pads and oil changes...soon to re-map using TuneECU will they complain..???
Can't see why they would complaine, the 2/3 nod is done with the akro map, so no big deal for them
Just found Jeffrey Honda do have KTM servicing for their V-Twins, they used to be "Vision Motorsport" which is where I got it serviced once before, so the are going to do it for 200 less and only take half the time..!!
KTM Brisbane charged a similar amount for their 15k service. It hurt, but not as much as being charged $600+ for the 1k service which was performed less than a fortnight after buying the bloody thing.
600 for the first service..!! damn..!!

I got my 15k service and has come back great..! All fluids replaced and they even replace the graphite ring in the rear cylinder exhaust. $580 was the end price. Only in there for half a day.. much better than peterstevens.......
This reply might come a bit out of time, but if your 15k service took less than 1/2 day...doesen't seem like valve clearance checked to me.
Engine must be cold, and as I can remember on honda 125 scooter (simpler engines, easier to reach valves, no hydraulic clutch or fluids) took a complete mid day to get it serviced...
