Nothing a decent powder coat shop couldn't fix.

I'm willing to bet that KTM's first few XXX (fill in # here) 2008 SDs will have everything in common with a 2007, except the build date. Other than colors, the garden variety SD is unchanged, no? The SDR is new & improved, especially for us in the unexplored country, as we've not seen them yet.....
I saw the same thing at my dealer when I went in to order my new front and rear brake levers. I was told the levers are temporarily not available. Apparently KTM used up whatever stock pile of 07 parts they had left over to start production of the 08's. This bike looked identical to the 07 except the Marchesini logos on the wheels.
In the full model line poster, only the white and the "R" versions are black.
