1290 Superduke R headlight options?

Just got a SD 3 weeks ago. I have nearly 900 miles and I'm ready for mods. Initially I wanted HID but after hours of research, I'm second guessing that idea. I'd like a whiter & brighter headlight. Can anyone offer suggestions? Thanks much!

Put Philips Diamond Vision H4 in mine and is as white as the LED DRL's

So I'm assuming something like this (with CANbus) is still not a good option? Reasons in quesiton: Low & beam together is not an option? Light spread isn't great in the OEM housing?
