990 fuel tank swop

to fit the bigger tank to the 06 model ,the tank itself fits is it the fuel pump that will not fit ,is that why you. Use the pump out of your old tank ,besides the cost side of things, Or would a later tank with a fuel pump in just be a straight swop with some adjustment for electrics ,

As far as I am aware it should be a straight swap, should be able to use the old fuel pump. If anyone can confirm it'd be appreciated as I have an '08 tank waiting to go on my '05. Gonna be good to be able to ride for more than 150 k's till fuel light's on!
