I'm about to pick up a 1290 and still have an unused WP-made Powerparts steering damper (PN 16180D03) from my 990. While I understand the mounting hardware is different between the 990 and 1290, is the damper dimensionally the same? Can I just swap the factory 1290 damper with 16180D03?
KTM lists different part numbers for the 990 and 1290 dampers, however WP only advertises one damper, which leads me to believe the form factor is the same between the models.
