Accelerator delay

I gather from your post that this is an intermittent condition that comes and goes randomly and cannot be duplicated with any consistency.

If this is so it's not going to be any kind of mechanical issue such as clogged air filter or fuel injectors. If it were one of these, the sypmtoms would be unwaveringly consistent.

You've most likely got an electrical issue but don't panic just yet. It could be something as simple as a little moisture in the injector connector.

Do you have a Power Commander hooked up to your bike?

shiit, that is interesting! Maybe we should wrap some fancy taper around the connector, to prevent that happening. damn, I thought they were such good connectors.
