no only one poll, the fused side, I have my bike here now... I can take some pic's. most all of the electrical plugs on the SD have a depression clip.
it works as does the name explains it, you push the plug in gently, then depress the clip, then gently pull on both the male end and female end.
joe is removing the cowl anyway today to remove my tatty header pipe wrap, so I can look at the piece you are speaking of, you ground to the
closest side cover, (engine block is best) bolt that is out of sight, a good technician always hides his work.
(function of the cover is to cover from wet and dirt) a common trouble spot, one to keep a close eye on.
I am eating lunch now.... later I will dig in to some further explanation, with some helpful pics. otherwise you keep on posting with progress or not.
