Hi Guys.

I have been using a MyChron Lite for a few years now, but i want to buy a new laptimer with built in GPS.

There is some interesting features especially with downloads of the training sessions.

Starlane Athon GPS R gets some good reviews, and have the features i am looking for.

Anybody out there with some experience with GPS laptimers (any brand)......

Any italiens out there who can give a price (what is the price in Italy)....

Thanks.....

I have a Starlane Athon GPS and some of my (danish) friends have the more expensive R model (which can download data).

I have been very satisfied with mine. Have some problems though to fit it nicely on the SDR ;-(

Easy to use and very precise and reliable.

My friends with the R model try to intimidate me with the download features which to be earnest look very nice but in fact is of very little use. ( I have to say that as I have the cheaper non-R model)

I've been using a free sofware in my mobile

You can use it with any new Nokia S60 phone. No problems in fitting it to the bike. Tape the small bluetooth GPS receiver somewhere in the bike or just leave it in the pocket. At least I've been really satisfied with it. It didn't cost me anything...

Dammit! I want one of these now too!

Trouble is it can't be visible on a UK track day as you're not supposed to time your laps. Anyone ever used something like this on a UK track day? Did you have to hide it? Would hate to spend the £££s only to get myself banned from a track day for it!
